Celebrating 30 Years in Business, our Annual Meeting had some extra special moments. Several days of meetings, training, networking, and hands-on demonstrations had ELITeXPO staff from all over the country busy learning all about the latest and greatest. The Awards Banquet was a spectacular night of camaraderie, good food, and fun. We also took some time to thank David and Leslie Mihalik for being such amazing business owners and incredibly generous human beings.

ELITeXPO has been providing tradeshow logistics services for 30 years now. What's been the key to our success? Knowing the importance of communication. Making sure an exhibit shipment gets to and from a trade show on-time and in-tact relies on the details communicated between both the customer and our staff.

2017 has been a very busy year so far in the IT Department at ELITeXPO. To celebrate our 30th year in business, we're upgrading a significant number of software systems, hardware, and communications platforms with the goal of improving customer service and maximizing operating efficiencies. We're also moving many of our systems to the Cloud.

According to a recent CEIR report, the cost of a face-to-face meeting with a prospect at a tradeshow is less than 10% of the cost of identifying and meeting with a prospect in the field. They also require less sales calls to close a sale. The overall savings per prospect are significant. So justifying the value of exhibiting at a tradeshow is easy.
It's funny to think that some of our customers are still not aware that we offer trade show exhibits for sale and rental. We've been doing so since 2009. I guess when you've been as successful as we have at trade show shipping for nearly 30 years that people see us as just an exhibit logistics company. So, it's our job to make sure that EVERYONE is aware that we offer a full array of trade show services AND products!
There is nothing more fun than celebrating one's heritage. As someone who's father came to America on a ship from Germany, I was raised to enjoy many of the fine German traditions that my father and grandmother had made a part of my life growing up. The German music that new employees get to enjoy during their initial training at ELITeXPO is one small part. Other traditions include German food and German Bier (that's Deutsch for beer). Of course there's my yearly trip to German Fest (32 years now) and regular attendance at several Oktoberfest celebrations in Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
Don't Think Of Trade Shows As A Single Moment In Time
Our VP of Tradeshow Services, Chuck Michel pointed me to an interesting video today about trade show preparation and followup. Trade shows aren't just a business opportunity while the show floor is open. A little preparation can help maximize your schedule while at the show.

15 years ago, I had the unfortunate experience of being in an auto accident. The guy driving in front of me got in a fight with his wife over not stopping for gas so he threw his car in reverse and headed backwards toward the approaching cars. Luckily, I saw him coming and was able to stop before he hit me. The man driving behind me never saw us stopped and hit my car going 50 mph. I only missed one day of work from my injuries but our company’s senior management had come to a major realization on that day. What if I had been seriously injured or even worse? They had no idea of what all those blinking lights in the server room even meant. They didn’t have any idea of how to access them or what to do once they did.
ELITeXPO's 2016 Annual Meeting is now in the books and it was a great success for the whole team!!
The meetings and training were filled with great presentations and discussion. The information provided can be applied to various applications within the organization and in each employee's daily tasks. A real focus on moving from selling to clients to providing assistance to and educating clients was a common thread throughout many of the sessions.
It was wonderful to have a group of great guest speakers such as Mel White, Richard Erschik, Mike Morrison, Jay Burkette, and Mike Hamilton. A special thanks to each and every one of them. Hearing the information from the domestic, international, and trailerload operations staff was really informative. Having my marketing partner here at ELITeXPO, Jordan Mihalik present to everyone on the new website and inbound marketing initiatives was a fun and information-packed time, as well.
